Excellence for All Students
ETHS is a phenomenal school and yet we need to strive to make it even better. We need to provide a rich, rigorous education for all students and ensure that everyone has the support to advance. It is not a question of excellence vs. equity--we must demand both.

Collaboration with District 65

District 202 and District 65 serve the same students and need to partner on their behalf. Creating a seamless educational experience will prepare and support students to achieve.

An Elected Official You'll Be Glad You Voted For

As your representative, I will approach my responsibilities with professionalism and respect. All of us in Evanston have a stake in ETHS’s success. Elected officials have an obligation to work through any differences to ensure that the needs of the students are always the highest priority.

SUPPORTING OUR GREAT SCHOOL

Evanston Township High School is the place where Evanston’s diversity, strengths, aspirations  and  values meet daily. I am proud to be an Evanstonian. I am grateful that ETHS is our  community’s  high school.

 By any measure - faculty excellence, innovation, student achievement, financial stewardship -  ETHS  is an exceptional school. As a member of the District 202 School Board, I will work tirelessly  to maintain excellence and ensure that all students have the opportunity, resources and support to  excel  in the 21st Century.

 To accomplish this task requires that the leadership of ETHS - school board members and  administrators:
  • Support students and teachers in ways to ensure their success;
  • Use objective and rigorous evaluation criteria; and
  • Hold students all students accountable for anything less than success.

 As a D202 board member, I will focus on:

  • Student achievement;
  • Fighting for the resources necessary to help our children achieve their potential;
  • Using data and quantitative measurements to guide policy decisions and objectives;
  • Ensure the effective use of our education dollars; and
  • Engage the community.

 As an experienced policy maker and policy advocate I will be able to build consensus among the  Board, listen to all sides of the argument and work towards a stronger relationship between the  Board and the Community.
